The team behind the popular pizza restaurant Franco Manca specializes in pasta and opens a new restaurant in Covent Garden in September this year, dedicated to the Italian staple food.
Strozzapreti is one of the food companies settling on the new Seven Dials Food Market, the first permanent location for the street food market CURB.
Sourdough chef and Franco Manca co-founder Bridget Hugo and co-founder and restaurateur Giuseppe Mascoli are part of the Strozzapreti team, along with pasta expert Andrea Beccaceci.
The restaurant offers a three-course menu with simple antipasti, classic Italian dishes and fresh pasta made from durum wheat flour and organic spelled from England.
Given the fact that Franco Manca is known for its queues, we wonder if Stozzapreti could become the new padella, the noodle restaurant Borough Market, for which people queue for hours.
Japanese soul food restaurant Nanban - by Master Chef winner Tim Anderson - also opens at the Seven Dials Food Market. Other distributors already announced for the new Foodie hotspot are Club Mexicana, Yum Bun and Rice Guys. There will also be a cheese conveyor.
